Year 5 have been learning about different types of forces. Today, we focused on air resistance and completed an experiment. We wanted to find out how the effects of air resistance differ on an object with the same mass. We had 2 peices of paper – one flat and one crumpled up. We predicted that the crumpled up paper would fall to the floor the quickest as it has a smaller surface area, creating less air resisitance. We then tested this and found that our predictions were correct.
