We have been so excited to begin learning a new language this year! Lots of our children have been to Spanish speaking countries on their holidays and are very keen to learn some of the lingo. We have begun by learning some basic greetings and saying what our name is. We have also been learning some ‘mouth mechanics’ – how to pronounce different sounds in Spanish. The phrases we have learnt so far are: ¡Hola! (Hello) Me llamo ____ (My name is ____) ¿Y tu? (And you?), as well as asking ¿Que tal? (How are you?) and answering with bien, muy bien, fantastico, mal or muy mal (good, very good, fantastic, sad, very sad).
