This term, our science focus is sound. We have learnt about the different parts of the ear and that sound is made by something vibrating. Today we tested out the idea that sound travels better through solids by making string telephones. The particles in a solid are very close together so the vibrations travel from particle to particle much easier than in a gas (air). We were able to hear our friends voices through the phones easier than through the air at the same distance.
