This half term we have been learning more about Christianity and the symbolism used in stories like the Nativity. This culminated in our making Christingles. The orange symbolises the world and the red ribbon around it represents God’s love wrapping all around the world. The sticks represent the four corners of the world or the four seasons and the sweet treats represent God’s gifts. Finally, the candle atop the orange symbolises Jesus as the light of the world.
