This term’s music work has revolved around ABBA and their songs. We’ve been looking at the structure of pop songs – the intro, the verses, bridges, choruses and instrumental solos. We spotted these in all of the ABBA songs we listened to: Mamma Mia, Dancing Queen, Winner Takes it All and Waterloo. We listened carefully to identify the key musical instruments used in this type of music as well as learning to play the G note on the glockenspiels to keep the pulse. We finished off by learning to sing the song too!
