We’ve been cementing our knowledge of multiplying and dividing by 10 and 100 this term using a variety of representations to help us improve our fluency. We know from Mastering Number sessions that if we multiply by 10, we place a zero, and we used this to help us when multiplying by 100 by placing two zeros. We explored place value charts and Gattegno charts to help use see how many places to the left each digit needed to move and we’ve been superstars!
