This term, we will be learning about the Roman Empire, particularly in relation to Britain and its lasting legacy. We begun by working out when in time the Roman Empire existed in relation to other times we’ve studied in other year groups. We recapped our knowledge of the terms decade, century and millenia and this week we learnt the vocabulary empire, invade and conquer. We sorted out the maps into their own timeline, based on the expansion of the Roan territory – we couldn’t believe how much of the world they managed to conquer!
