We loved our fieldwork sessions where we ventured out to Dunston to survey the traffic in our local area. We used our maths skills to tally the different vehicle types that passed the crossroads in a 5 minute period. We couldn’t believe we saw so many different types – even a digger on a lorry! We discussed how the volume of traffic might impact our local environment and were a bit sorry that there were so many cars and not many people using the buses.
