This term we have been designing and making our own book jackets to keep our books safe in our bags. We firstly investigated different fastenings and how they help us secure fabrics together. Then we designed and made a prototype/pattern for our own book sleeves from paper. Finally, we learnt how to sew with running stitch and whip stitch to fasten our fabric pieces together. Don’t our jackets look great!
