This term, our DT focus is on different fastenings used to join. We investigated fastenings in our classroom and we found: buttons, buckles, zips, press-studs and hook-and-eyes. We then designed our very own book sleeves/jackets to keep our reading books safe and tidy. We’ve been learning running stitch and whip stitch to secure our fabric together and we have attached a button as a fastening to secure it.
