This term, our art has focused on sculpture, using air drying clay to create some wonderful, fantastical animals. We studied the work of Ukrainian artist Maria Prymachenko and used her painting as inspiration to make our animals more interesting. Some of us used a pinch pot/thumb pot method to create the body of our animal, while some of us used a balloon mould which was a bit trickier but a useful skill to learn.
