Year 2 loved learning all about medecines in the Victoria Era. They were very surprised about the type of medicines that were used – including poisons! They explored Victoriana and modern medicines and then looked at hospitals and the poor conditions that existed. The children were introduced to Florence Nightingale and were fascinate dby her achievements. We also explored the life of Mary Seacole too and found out that she was also a very influential figure in history. Well done Year 2!
