A few weeks ago, we came into school as normal and were greeted by an unusual sight… In the corner there were some lilipads, some glittery footprints and two signs which read ‘BlueBell Woods’ and ‘Shh… It’s a secret!’ We made predictions about what we thought had popped in our classroom over the weekend and then the next day, a story was sent into school…’The Bog Baby’. After reading all about Bog Babies, we came to the conclusion that this type of creature had paid us a visit. We then created our own creatures and we used some similes to describe them. We had ideas such as ‘as fast as lightning’ and ‘pink like candyfloss’. We then wrote our own stories in the style of The Bog Baby but using the creatures which we had designed.
