Year 2 have loved their most recent Computing unit ‘Creating Pictures’. Using PurpleMash, we access the ‘2 paint’ app and we began by exploring the tools which the programme offers. As you can see from an example of our ‘explore’ work, we practised changing the background, adding shapes, drawing lines, creating bubbles and adding text. As we progressed, we looked at the work of pointillist
artists such as Seurat and we tried to recreate pointillist art using the Pointillism template. We also looked at the work of Piet Mondrian and recreated some of his work using the Lines template. We have added some of our artwork for you to take a look at!
