In Art, we have been looking at the Northern Lights. We learned that they are also known as the Aurora Borealis. We looked at the different colours and the different lines/shapes that we could see. Over the last few weeks, we have experimented with different media such as: pencils, chalk, paint and pastels, and we have also explored a range of different surfaces. Today, we practised drawing lines with pastels on black card and tried the smudging effect to create a Northern Lights scene. We discussed what worked well and we are now ready to create our final pieces.
