A cheese box, binoculars, a map, a notebook and pen were just some of the things that hooked our children into the text for this half-term. The story is Hermelin: The Detective Mouse. Our children thoroughly enjoyed this story and they did a great job at retelling the story of Hermelin in their own words. They remembered to include all of the grammar features that they have been practising in their lessons. We also stepped into Hermelin’s shoes and wrote a letter to someone telling them how to find their missing item.
