Year 1 have really enjoyed using Data Explorers on Purple Mash This unit introduced our children to using software tools to group and sort recognisable objects. This helped to develop their understanding of how this relates to organising and interpreting data. Before we used the programme, children were asked to group animals according to different criteria to introduce key vocabulary.
