Y6 enjoyed their first problem solving task as they had to try and see how many new shapes they could make from a square cut into 2 pieces. The rule stated that whole sides had to match each other so their corners meet and no flipping was allowed. Were there 4 shapes to find to solve the problem or could there have been more?
