Extra-Curricular

Across the year at Dunston Hill Community Primary School, our learning continues beyond the classroom and the normal school day as we offer a variety of extra-curricular clubs.

We have a dedicated team of both teaching staff and external coaches to lead activities such as Tag Rugby, Netball, Football, Athletics (Summer Term), Dance, Drama, Music, Field Games (Summer Term) etc.

All Activity Clubs run from the end of the school day at 3.15 until 4.15pm. We ask that your child(ren) are please collected on time or if they are in Years 5 or 6, and you are happy for them to walk home unaccompanied, that you have completed the required online permissions.

Bookings for activity clubs can be made online via the School Gateway app. Places are limited and allocated on a first come first served basis.

We ask that you please ensure your child has the correct kit or clothing for the activity as failure to provide this will unfortunately result in your child not being able to take part. This is especially important for sports clubs. In wet weather, main hall or classroom sessions will be held instead.

We expect all our children to behave in extra-curricular clubs as they would during the school day and adhere to our policy of “Ready, Respect and Kind”.  Should they fail to do, so we reserve the right to discuss and or withdraw their offer of a place at the club.

We are proactively seeking to increase the number and variety of clubs available to children through spring and summer terms and welcome any ideas or suggestions.
