The Year 4 children have fully embraced non-fiction texts during this term – from Guided Reading sessions to writing. This week, the children have worked extremely independently to create a non-chronological report based on somewhere very familiar…Dunston Hill CPS! In order to be successful, the children had to use formal language, third person (which proved tricky for some of us to begin with), sub-headings and paragraphs. We planned our writing to ensure our reports were structured and used everything we know about our school to make it informative to the reader. We were really proud of the final pieces!
