Wow! Our Climate Crew were incredibly lucky to enjoy a fantastic hands-on workshop with Georgina from ‘The Sea We See’. Georgina has worked for many years around our oceans and came to Dunston Hill to improve our children’s ‘Ocean Literacy’ – enabling them to learn about the importance of our oceans in sustaining life on our planet, and importantly, to be able to teach others. The children explored facts about the world’s oceans and experienced a number of workstations where they could look at fossils, a variety of seaweed, shells, waste taken from our oceans and explore challenges that we face on a day – to – day basis. They finished with a brilliant worksheet that tested their newly acquired knowledge. A huge thank you to Georgina for bringing our wonderful oceans to life.
