We were very grateful to welcome local historical novelist, Steph Bellwood, into school at the end of February. She shared with our Year 5 and 6 children how she became an author and her interest in the “undiscovered heroines of the past”. She then worked with both of our Year 6 classes on WW1 and the role of the WRENS. We loved being dispatch riders and avoiding the hazards to ensure our messages were safely delivered!
