Our wonderful Climate Crew have been very lucky to partmer with the MetroCentre who kindly funded seven trees for plantation around our school grounds. MetroCentre attracts a lots of traffic and they have a keen interest in reducing carbon created by vehicles. At Dunston Hill, we are wroking towards ‘Net Zero’, to balance the amount of carbon used and putting measures in place to reduce it. We learned that trees trap carbon and so we planted some beautiful species around our school grounds. The children have been brilliant at looking after them too!
