In our Design Technology unit, we learned about how to adapt a Spaghetti Bolognese recipe to make it healthier. We considered what a balanced diet is and looked at existing product labels for sauces currently on the market. We understand how to use nutritional value traffic lights to help us to make informed choices about what we eat and how the values are dependent on the ingredients in the recipe. We realised that green was used to help consumers associate ‘healthiness’ with a product; lots of us decided we would incorporate lots of green into our own label designs.
